Somatherapy Institute is unique in several ways. From its inception in 1991, under the name Desert Resorts School of Somatherapy, we remain the only school in the Palm Springs area entirely dedicated to massage and the only school offering individual massage therapy training classes as needed by our students.
We offer whole programs geared toward the massage technician, massage therapist or massage practitioner seeking state certification and, as mentioned, we offer classes on an "a la carte" basis, everything from basic Swedish massage to Sports massage, Lymph Drainage Massage, Lymph Drainage Therapy for mesothelioma, Myofascial Release massage and Spa Services. This is important for those established massage therapists that need single classes covering modalities they wish to add to their menu or classes needed for certification.
