In San Diego, Ramona Moody was the first licensed Holistic Health Practitioner, after being involved in a successful effort by the entire massage community to have the city council approve an exemption removing therapeutic massage from adult entertainment ordinances. Ramona has been actively involved in legal issues in massage in Southern California since 1983. She was the director of California Health Practitioners Association in San Diego for five years and helped found several organizations including the California Alliance of Massage and Bodywork Schools and the Coachella Valley Spa Directors Association. She has taught massage seminars in California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Montana, and Wyoming.
