HOLISTIC HEALTH PRACTITIONER (HHP) PROGRAM

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The HHP Designation has long been a coveted certification for massage therapists.  It is a 1000-hour total program which builds upon our Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) curriculum with advanced classes in eastern and western modalities.  STUDENTS enroll in the HHP Program and then take the required number of courses to complete their program. Time to completion is usually 12-24 months depending upon the amount of time a student devotes to their coursework.

The certification combines the fundamentals of traditional Massage Therapy and blends them with our advanced medical and holistic related massage coursework.  This program is the ideal massage training choice for those massage therapists and holistic practitioners who want to take their practice to a more integrative approach to health and wellness.  Furthermore the program offers the student an excellent opportunity and a commitment to personal growth and learning that will enable their practice to thrive.

WHY BECOME A HOLISTIC HEALTH PRACTITIONER?

As the emphasis in medicine shifts from a model of disease control and illness to one of wellness and prevention, many western or allopathic practitioners are expanding their knowledge and practices to encompass an integrated holistic approach to a client's health.  This program expands your knowledge base tremendously with courses that cover ancient and contemporary roots of healing from both eastern and western perspectives.

Topics of study include but are not limited to the following modalities:

  • Medical Courses : Structural and Inflammation Injury and Rehabilitation

  • Energetic Massage Courses: Polarity Therapy, Advanced Cranial Sacral Work

  • Massage Courses and Asian and Traditional Chinese Medical Principles:  Acupressure, Shiatsu, Thai Massage

  • Western Integrative Approaches to Massage and Bodywork: Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Cranial Sacral Therapy

The blend of these east/west approaches to massage therapy will provide you with a profound base of knowledge to be an exceptional massage therapist that will be sought out by many.  The combination of your knowledge base, your skilled touch and the perception of a person as a whole - rather than a collection of (body) parts - will facilitate your creation of a practice that preserves and supports your well-being and that of your clientele.
